Jacob Grygus

Graduate Student (Winter 2024-Present)

Jacob is from Mokena, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with his B.S. in chemistry. While there he conducted research with Prof. Nan Zheng on Light-Induced Alkynylation of Strained Cycloaminals. He joined the Thomas lab in December of 2024 as a fourth year graduate student. He is coadvised by Prof. Osvaldo Gutierrez at UCLA. He is currently working on transition metal catalysis. In his free time he loves learning about history/architecture, baking, gaming, as well as enjoying time with his fiance.
